The Phoenix Suns have played four pre-season games and went 3-1. Things seem to be coming along well for them but they still have one problem they need to address. How will Jalen Green figure in all these?

The fifth year guard is the major addition the team made this summer when they decided to let Kevin Durant go to the Houston Rockets. They also received top defender Dillon Brooks in the deal. Problem is Green is yet to suit up for them.
The 2022 All Rookie First Team member is a 21.0 guy last season, Rockets’ top scorer. That’s not the only thing that makes him standout, it is his availability.
He is some sort of an Iron-man since arriving in the league having played significant amount of games while others resort to load management. He played all 82 games last season. Now, that Iron-man status is at stake as there is a possibility that he won’t be there in the opening night for his team.
Fun Fact: Jalen Green had played in 186 consecutive regular season games, which was the third-longest active streak in the NBA.

Jalen Green not available for opening night
Head coach Jordan Ott confirmed it himself through a report by ESPN. The publication wrote:
The Phoenix Suns won’t have one of their key offseason acquisitions for opening night as Jalen Green will be sidelined because of a hamstring injury.
Speaking to reporters before the Suns’ preseason game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night, first-year Phoenix coach Jordan Ott said Green aggravated the injury while the team was in China earlier this month.
Suns’ opening game will be against the Sacramento Kings on October 22. The report said he will be up for evaluation only after 10 days so that means he might miss the LA Clippers game, too, a day after the opening assignment.

Expected to fill Green’s shoes in the starting line up is Grayson Allen. Ryan Dunn and Royce O’Neal are also among consideration.
