The new look Phoenix Suns had a solid debut for the 2025-26 season with a win over the Sacramento Kings but things went downhill for them since then, losing their last one to Utah Jazz. Team struggled offensively and this is where Jalen Green’s absence is missed.

Green was part of the trade that got his former team Houston Rockets Kevin Durant while the Suns receive him and Dillon Brooks. He is a known scorer and an Ironman but unfortunately for him, he was unable to start the season due to a right hamstring strain.
He missed all pre-season games and the four games in the regular season so far. There were news that he might return on Wednesday when they host the Memphis Grizzlies. How true is this news? Head coach Jordan Ott has a good news.

First-year coach Jordan Ott on if Jalen Green will make his Suns debut Wednesday vs. Memphis: “We’re going to keep this thing going day-by-day. I think he is in a good place. That’s where I’ll keep it. We’re hopeful. We’ll wait to see how he comes out of today, how that looks… pic.twitter.com/NFvWt9gGQT

Green did not miss any games for the Rockets in the last two seasons. He averaged 21 points and 4.6 rebounds in his last season with them.
Jalen Green will be re-evaluated
Green is recovering well but don’t expect him to be back in action against Memphis or within this week. Ott said last week that he will be evaluated after 10 days.
“He’s obviously not going to play [this weekend],” Ott said told reporters during practice Thursday.
That’s pretty easy to see. He’s still working through it. I would say by the end of the road trip, there will be more [updates], but at this point, definitely nothing.”

For now, Devin Bookers takes up the bulk of the load in scoring although he needs more lift as even Dillon Brooks did not play in loss to the Utah Jazz.
Booker has scored at least 30 points in three of the four games. His support on offense comes from Royce O’Neale and Grayson Allen although both are inconsistent.
