Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green identified A’ja Wilson as the number one player the WNBA needs to market more than Indiana Fever star rookie Caitlin Clark.

Green made the case for the Las Vegas Aces star and MVP candidate during his recent episode of “The Draymond Green Show” on Wednesday.
“The best thing since sliced bread in the WNBA is A’ja Wilson. I’m not necessarily in the mindset that it’s all Caitlin Clark, no, A’ja Wilson is great. A’ja Wilson to me is the American dream,” Green said on his podcast.
“Coming from a two-parent household, grew, got better, young Black girl, had everything against her, beat the odds to become what soon will be known as the greatest player to ever grace the WNBA. That’s quite honestly my opinion. I think A’ja Wilson is as marketable as anybody in the WNBA, but you have to figure out how to market the product,” the four-time NBA champion added.

It’s hard to argue with Draymond Green’s point since A’ja Wilson is balling this season for Las Vegas, averaging 27.9 points, 12.4 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game on 51.3 percent shooting from the field.
A’ja Wilson is the early frontrunner for the WNBA MVP this year
The Las Vegas Aces are the second-best team in the Western Conference of the WNBA because they improved to a 5-2 record following their 95-81 victory against the Dallas Wings yesterday.
A’ja Wilson led the way for the Las Vegas Aces with 36 points, 12 rebounds, and six steals while shooting 15-of-22 from the field in 34 minutes.

Because she is in fine form with her superb performances, A’ja Wilson won the Western Conference Player of the Month award for May for a record-tying ninth time and Western Conference Player of the Week.
If she keeps this up, A’ja Wilson could win her third league MVP this season after last doing so in 2022.
