After her headline-grabbing walk at the 2025 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, Angel Reese took a moment to look back — reminding everyone just how far she’s come. But of course, WNBA fans couldn’t resist chiming in with a mix of humor and hot takes.
On Wednesday, Reese made history as the first professional athlete to hit the Victoria’s Secret runway, joining Olympic gymnast Suni Lee for a show-stopping appearance. It’s just the latest addition to an already packed list of 2025 milestones for the Chi-Town Barbie.

“I really used to work at Smash Burger & now i’m a VS model AHAHHA,” Reese posted on X, reflecting on her early grind before the fame.

The tweet was pure wholesomeness — but this is social media, so not everyone played nice. Some fans jumped in with jokes.
“You cooked, go make an onlyfans before it’s owner sells it.”
“I know you don’t consider it to be important but there is professional basketball player in between those two things.”
“Good, you can have something to fall back on when the WNBA collapses.”

Still, Reese hasn’t missed a beat. Instead of clapping back, she just keeps stacking wins. Earlier this year, she landed on the NBA 2K26 cover and launched her first Reebok signature shoe, which sold out within hours.
“Shut the runway down”: Angel Reese attracts support from WNBA fans
Despite the noise, plenty of WNBA fans showed nothing but love. After posting a clip from the show with the caption, “Forever that GIRL. @VictoriaSecret,” Reese’s mentions flooded with support.

“This is exactly when you shut the runway down.”
“Forever OUR angel.”
And a third dropped the perfect line:
“Yessss honey, you set that run way on fiiiiyyyyaaa!!”

Hate it or love it, Angel Reese just keeps walking her talk — on the court, on the runway, and everywhere in between.
