WNBA fans are reacting to a tweet about Angel Reese’s collegiate basketball. The tweet felt that Reese’s numbers in her college basketball years definitely deserve plenty more credit, but others did not feel the same way.

Reese split her college career between Maryland and LSU, where she managed to even defeat Caitlin Clark in the NCAA finals, which kicked off their rivalry. Not only in college basketball, but Reese has also managed to create a legacy for herself in the W. Unfortunately, the talented hooper has also been at the receiving end of plenty of trolling and hatred for simply no major reason.

“Looking back on it, Angel Reese needs more respect for her college career.” MeggieSkywalk tweeted.

“Why she’s always been on stacked teams,” one fan said.

“Duh we tried to tell yall what she was doing wasn’t normal,” one more fan remarked.

“Angel was always a top tier player who should’ve gone 1st in the draft but racism etc…LSU needs a no holds barred aggressive leader. Neither Flau nor Mikela are that. Kim needs to appoint Fulwiley captain and let the team run. She needs to stop babying Flau.” Another fan added.

WNBA Fans Continue To React To Tweet Praising Angel Reese’s College Numbers

More and more WNBA fans are jumping into the conversation, giving their own opinions on Angel Reese, especially regarding her college career. Many fans feel that she definitely deserved a higher spot in the draft, rather than seventh, while others’ opinionated that Reese is a way overrated player.

“I’ve been saying this. Her getting drafted 7 was insane! She was top 3 of that class.” One fan stated.

“LSU wouldn’t have beaten the undefeated SC if Iowa didn’t knock them off in the final 4 game…also LSU couldn’t back it up the following year with Reese still playing…” another fan said.

“Agreed (100 emoji), she should have been a top 5 pick,” one more fan remarked.

Angel Reese has managed to still create a niche for herself in the W despite all the hatred surrounding her. In spite of all the numerous accomplishments she has managed, there are still hordes of haters who continue to launch attacks against the player. Just a day earlier, a fan account shared an incredible list of everything Reese had succeeded in 2025, which received a massive wave of negative tweets.
