Christmas Day arrived, but WNBA fans still had jokes for Angel Reese.
The Chi‑Town Barbie showed appreciation to her supporters who gifted her sneakers for the holiday. Reese posted: “I love seeing you guys get my shoes for Christmas. Merry Christmas everyone! I love youuuu.”

Not everyone kept it festive.
@TootyBooty brought up Caitlin Clark’s ad: “You see CC’s Nike brand anthem????” 🔥

@Unathii1017 cut deeper: “Nobody is getting your shoes for Christmas.”
And @buck_bucky17312 went morbid: “If I got your shoes for my birthday, I would personally go to the North Pole and hang Santa.”
Back in September, Reese teamed up with Reebok to release her first signature shoe line — Diamond Dust, Mebounds, and Receipts Ready. Hours after launch, they sold out online.
“Stop harassing people”: WNBA fans defend Angel Reese amid holiday mockery
While some didn’t want to let Angel Reese celebrate her Christmas peacefully, plenty of WNBA fans came to her defense and showed appreciation to her craft and the wonderful job they’ve done on her first signature sneakers.

@biggwood352 called out the haters and said, “It’s Christmas and instead of y’all enjoying time with your family they under every post about Angel showing how miserable they life really is. It can’t that much hate in the world go enjoy your family and stop harassing people.”

@_toopac, on the other hand, shared what they got, saying, “I’m wearing your jersey I finally found in my closet the other day. Merry Christmas.”
And @SJanovsky shared how Angel Reese’s sneakers made someone’s Christmas: “I gifted my husband his first pair – Tiago! He loves them! Merry Christmas!”
Angel Reese’s sneakers may have sparked jokes, but WNBA fans made sure the holiday also came with love and support.
