Angel Reese owned the runway this week as clips of her walking in the Victoria’s Secret show took over social media. But somehow, Caitlin Clark still caught strays in the crossfire by WNBA fans.

@ShowCaseShabazz shared a short clip of Reese with the caption, “ANGEL REESE 2ND WALK,” and it instantly spread among WNBA Fans. The LSU star-turned-Chicago Sky forward has been building her brand beyond basketball, landing modeling gigs, endorsements, and magazine features.

But as the video went viral, one user, @moneymosh12, wrote, “Caitlin is in the GYM btw.” That comment summed up what a portion of WNBA Fans turned it into — not just a celebration of Reese, but another comparison between her and Clark.
Another user, @ThegrayroseLex, added, “She needs to focus on what pays her,” in reference to Reese’s off-court work, drawing mixed reactions from WNBA Fans. Some applauded Reese for using her platform and diversifying her image, while others believed her priorities should stay on the court.
Reese isn’t just modeling; she’s reshaping what a WNBA player can represent off the court. And while Caitlin Clark continues to train and focus on basketball, both are showing that the league’s next era might be led by women who can dominate in different arenas.
Either way, WNBA Fans are eating it all up — from the gym floor to the runway lights.
WNBA Fans React As Caitlin Clark Faces Backlash For Praising LeBron James
Caitlin Clark is once again at the center of online debate, and this time, it’s for something simple — saying she admires LeBron James.

@BronMuse posted Clark’s quote: “LeBron is the GOAT to me, he’s my favorite player of all time.” That statement alone was enough to split WNBA Fans right down the middle.

@jackson_steve replied, “Yikes. Just lost respect for Caitlin Clark,” while another user, @AllMigh71914148, wrote, “Notice how the world turned against Caitlin after she said this? Now they hate GOAT James and Caitlin.”
Still, many others see nothing wrong with it. They argue that Clark’s opinion reflects her generation’s basketball landscape — one where players grew up watching LeBron dominate both statistically and socially.
One of the unfortunate things about being in the spotlight is getting judged on your preferences. Added the fact that WNBA athletes are already on a knife-edge when keeping their WNBA fans happy and engaged. We understand that this is all just noise. And Caitlin Clark being true to herself and expressive of her views is an important statement in and of itself.
