WNBA fans ended up split after the USC Trojans took part in a challenge inspired by Caitlin Clark’s now-famous logo threes.
Ahead of their matchup against the Iowa Hawkeyes at Carver-Hawkeye Arena, the Trojans came out for warmups and decided to have some fun with it. During the session, they attempted deep three-pointers from Clark’s logo on the floor — the spot marked with her jersey number.

It wasn’t anything official. Just a warm-up moment. But it didn’t take long for WNBA fans to notice and start debating it online.
Some downplayed the idea entirely.

Other WNBA fans saw it differently.
@mckhelmick4 pushed back, saying, “That’s why CC is different. Before her, men had never been intrigued to try something athletically that a woman had turned into an icon.”
And @RobieCano22 thought the execution missed the point, adding, “You have to run down the floor and throw it up for full effect of that spot. They’re doing it wrong.”
The logo itself carries weight. Iowa honored Caitlin Clark by placing her jersey number on the court at the exact spot where she hit the shot that passed Kelsey Plum and made her the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer. That detail didn’t get lost in the conversation either.

“This is going to get more views than Unrivaled”: WNBA fans get excited ahead of Caitlin Clark’s NBA broadcast debut
Even with the 2026 WNBA season still up in the air because of ongoing CBA negotiations, Caitlin Clark hasn’t exactly gone quiet.
According to posts from the Indiana Fever’s social media accounts, Clark is set to make her NBA broadcast debut later this year. She’ll be joining NBC Sports as a special contributor during games in February and March 29.

The announcement caught attention quickly to WNBA fans
WNBA Fans didn’t just notice it — they started reacting immediately.
@KeithWMattox said, “Finally, a woman in the broadcast booth that actually knows something about playing basketball.”
@WNBALouvre added, “Watching an NBA pregame is on my calendar. Not the game, just the pregame.”
And @KeenanRIVALS joked, “This going to get more views than unrivaled sadly.”
Between the logo-three debate and her move into NBA broadcasting, Caitlin Clark continues to stay at the center of WNBA fans conversation — even when she’s not taking the shot herself.
