From one logo three-pointer to another, Caitlin Clark couldn’t believe what Steph Curry just pulled out of his hat during their warm-ups against the Minnesota Timberwolves. However, WNBA fans were quick to clown the Indiana Fever superstar after her comments.
Clark shared the clip on X, where Curry fired the ball from near the tunnel and somehow buried it clean.
“This has to be AI,” Clark wrote.
No I think it’s Steph Curry, AI retired a long time ago

The comment was meant as admiration, but it didn’t take long for WNBA fans to flip it into jokes at Clark’s expense.
“No I think it’s Steph Curry, AI retired a long time ago,” @YZR_Fantasy cracked, leaning into the wordplay.
Others took Clark’s comment literally. @Crownedprinz pushed back on the idea that the clip was fake, saying, “Whoever created it is talented because they created different angles.”
And some fans saw it as a challenge more than anything else. @TeamClark22 encouraged Clark to embrace the moment: “you can do that light work.”
Curry’s pregame routines have become must-watch content at this point, with shots that feel more like magic tricks than warm-ups. Clark, meanwhile, has been easing her way back into action, recently joining Team USA at its training camp as she continues her return.
“If this doesn’t bring peace, nothing will”: WNBA fans react to rare Team USA moment
Team USA’s training camp at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, ran from December 12 to 14 and brought together some of the most recognizable faces in women’s basketball. Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, and 2025 WNBA Rookie of the Year Paige Bueckers were all in the same gym — and, briefly, on the same side.

Normally, those three names spark nonstop debates online. This time, fans hit pause.
A clip shared by the WNBA showed Clark, Reese, and Bueckers running drills together, exchanging passes and shots in a sequence that felt surreal to longtime fans.
“If this doesn’t bring peace to this app, nothing will,” @DLoThaReal wrote.
Not everyone was convinced the truce would last. @Muppetish replied, “Now that would be great, but I think you underestimate the pettines of some of the fans. I just block the weird ones and ignore them the best that I can.
Others focused on the bigger picture. @ShaqSharpe summed it up simply: “The future is bright these women and some more in college will take the WNBA to new heights.”
One viral warm-up. One rare moment of unity. And for a brief stretch, the basketball internet actually agreed on something.
