WNBA Fans pulled no punches, poking fun at Caitlin Clark after a clip of her shooting 50-for-54 from downtown went viral on Sunday. While Fans saw Clark shoot a whopping amount on practice, they couldn’t help but ask themselves how the Indiana Fever star will fare when she does that in an actual game.
User @Tee1655532 refused any pleasantries, believing Clark will never stand a chance on the real court, writing, “She’ll be 4-54 with a defender in front of her.”
User @BrianJo28377831 shares the same concern, commenting, “With no one in her face….not that impressive. Like making 100 free throws in a row when you are rested and breathing normal…aint the same as in a game.”

Either way, WNBA Fans are divided on whether Clark can still be a sharpshooter when she’s with fierce defenders. But if three-pointers were one thing, some Fans were also skeptical if Clark, after not playing most of the season, can still perform at the same prodigy level as WNBA Fans see her.
“I love her but she travels on every shot. Can’t take 2 steps without a dribble,” one user remarked.
“Can she stay on the court is the question,” one user posted.
“I think she should be working on dribbling and defense but coooo,” one user wrote.
“Still CANT PLAY DEFENSE!” one user remarked.

WNBA Fans knew well how Clark, the most anticipated star of the fanbase, shocked them after being riddled with injuries, most notably her groin that only led to worse ones. WNBA Fans were also a bit disappointed when Clark only played for 13 games, all inconsistent. However, the one that really made Fans concerned was her 27.9% three-point shooting, something unusual for someone like her.
With Sunday’s clip gaining traction from WNBA Fans, they remain hopeful that Clark will bring those to a real game, captivating Fans with those shots from downtown.
WNBA Fans show support amidst Clark’s latest development
On the other hand, WNBA Fans continue to show positivity as Clark continues to improve her three-point shooting throughout the offseason. After all, Fans haven’t given up on seeing her as the W’s greatest sharpshooters to ever exist.

“Ball all night I see you! You making the ball disappear in thin air swosh!” one user wrote.
“Just a little more practice and we’re officially seeing Steph Curry in the making,” one user remarked.
As the WNBA season approaches, WNBA Fans had their eyes set on the newly-improved Clark, one that will finally silence all the haters and dominate the court with her sharp three-pointers.
