WNBA Fans were left debating after a post of Caitlin Clark gave her key piece in improving went viral on social media. At those videos, Clark mentioned how she is focused on NBA superstar Luka Doncic, her inspiration on helping her evolve on playing the ball. However, this didn’t stop Fans from poking fun to the WNBA superstar.
Clark landed her bold reveal during the Lakers-Knicks pregame on Sunday, telling ESPN’s commentators how she approves of Doncic’s very good passes, turning them into easy points.

She then said, “I think that’s something I can certainly learn from. I always kind of want to run away from the defense, rather than absorbing the contact and taking up the space that they give me.”

The statement immediately gained traction among many WNBA Fans, who couldn’t help but give insights.
User @mos__71 didn’t hold back, writing, “I’m assuming she hates playing defense,” claiming Clark, trying to improve through Doncic, will also inherit Doncic’s flaws on the court.
Meanwhile, user @BrysonThom11208 finds Clark’s few games last season similar to Doncic being prone to injuries, remarking, “Alright now I figured out why she played only 13 games last season.”
“Always thought Caitlin Clark NBA comparison based on her actual play style and not just her shooting skill, was more Luka than anyone [fire emoji],” one user posted.
“She’s a natural,” one user wrote.
“Now if Steph white would actually use her that way Indiana would be unstoppable,” one user remarked.

However, while Clark’s reveal made WNBA Fans talking, the game didn’t end well for Clark’s idol, as Doncic and the Lakers lost against the Knicks by 12 points. While WNBA Fans slightly nod at Clark’s choice, they still showed concerns about Clark’s performance, believing she might’ve also copied Doncic’s flaws at some point.
WNBA Fans believe Clark had wrong timing on Doncic statement
Meanwhile, WNBA Fans also couldn’t help but find Clark’s bold statement really hilarious, especially when she told it besides a particular commentator, Reggie Miller. Fans noticed how Miller’s face was a bit uncanny in the segment, instantly connecting it to Clark’s positive comments around Doncic.
User @CoolHandMe33 went straight to the point and wrote, “She has no idea how much that upset Reggie Miller. Reggie hates Luka.”
Meanwhile, user @callitwhatbette found Miller’s reaction funny, remarking, “what’s with the face [crying emoji].”

While WNBA Fans didn’t shy on finding Clark’s sharing her take in front of Miller very awkward, they couldn’t help but still make fun of the moment. Still, questions arise whether Clark will indeed learn something from watching Doncic play on the court.
