WNBA fans are growing tired of Caitlin Clark’s supporters after they turned their attention toward Paige Bueckers during her debut in the Unrivaled 3×3 basketball league.
Clark hasn’t played competitively this offseason outside of Team USA training camp late in 2025. Meanwhile, Bueckers just made her first appearance in Unrivaled, the 3×3 league co-founded by Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart.
Bueckers’ debut was solid by any standard, but that didn’t stop a Caitlin Clark fan page from claiming the 2025 WNBA Rookie of the Year received favorable foul calls. The post didn’t sit well with a large portion of WNBA fans, who quickly pushed back.
@aniyaaaxoxo summed up the frustration, writing, “Angel & Paige are their only topic of discussion because their goat is somewhere playing golf.”

@Sailor1476 added, “They be talking about anyone who doesn’t worship their cult leader.”
Others were less subtle. @Tokhuah said, “A’ja whistle, now Page whistle… At this point I want the Fever to fail for no reason other than the entertainment value of hearing all the excuses.”

For Bueckers, the noise didn’t matter much. Named captain of Breeze BC, she led her team to a win in their Unrivaled debut against Phantom BC, letting her play do most of the talking.
“Like a video game boss”: WNBA fans raving over Paige Bueckers’ Unrivaled debut
Despite the criticism from Clark’s supporters, Paige Bueckers had plenty of fans impressed on opening night.

Not only did she step into a leadership role immediately, she backed it up on the court. Bueckers dropped 24 points to guide Breeze BC to a 69–62 win over Phantom BC, setting the tone for her Unrivaled run.
@francryptofit captured the moment perfectly, saying, “Paige out here playing like a video game boss.”
@EmailCopyJames added, “Paige setting the tone from day one—24 points and already carrying the team’s energy. Unreal start.”
@barfield_gina echoed the sentiment: “Star mentality on full display she set the tone and made the debut unforgettable for the Breeze.”
Bueckers finished with 24 points, five rebounds, and six assists, while Dominique Malonga chipped in with 17 points and 14 rebounds — a strong opening statement for a team built to compete right away.
