WNBA fans were all over social media a day earlier after Candace Parker claimed that Paige Bueckers is nowhere near being a two-way player on the court. Parker admitted that Bueckers has plenty to work on her defense before she can be termed as a two-player, even when many others have been comparing her work to Kyrie Irving and such.

A particular X user compared the response to Candace Parker’s remarks and Sheryl Swoopes and called WNBA fans hypocrites since they chose to ignore the latter’s comments about Caitlin Clark. This led to a barrage of reactions by fans in the responses, with many trolling the players in question themselves.

“Y’all hate Candace Parker for criticizing Paige’s game on defense but supported Sheryl Swoopes for blatantly lying and bullying Caitlin Clark. Aight. I know what you are lmao.” District22FC tweeted.

“PeeBucket is the chosen one being thrown down our throats lol…” one fan said about Bueckers.

“I wanna know where this narrative that she was an elite defender came from (laughing with tears emoji) I watched those uconn games she was not out there locking ppl up lol her teammates spent most of the time guarding the opp teams best player,” another fan said.

“Geno himself was horrible saying she couldn’t handle leagues physicality, fans were delusional & saying her college success wouldn’t translate to the pro unlike his own players. Stated she wasn’t quick enough & circus threes wouldn’t work.” One more fan said.

WNBA Fans Continue To React To X User’s Tweet About Candace Parker

WNBA fans are continuing to react to the X user’s tweet about Candace Parker and Paige Bueckers. While some are agreeing with her opinion on Bueckers, others still feel that she is in the wrong.

“Because she’s lying. Paige has been playing defense ever Hopkins. It doesn’t even take a smart person to search Paige defense highlights on YouTube. Candace using Paige to get traction on socials. No shame at all and everyone who supports her.” one fan said.

“Candace knows what she talkin about. She ain’t finna sit here and make up sh*t to impress. She keeps it real,” another fan stated.

“Sheryl Swoopes wasn’t bullying her at all lol and swoopes a champion and MVP she knows more about womens basketball than you retards do,” one more fan said about Swoopes and Caitlin Clark.

While Candace Parker may have said what she said about Paige Bueckers and her defense, the player herself has proved to be incredibly great on court on both sides. Most recently, Bueckers made her Unrivaled debut, taking the Breeze BC to their first win of this season of the league.
