Since last year, the WNBA has arguably been at its most important phase as the players have begun fighting for a better CBA. However, many WNBA Fans now show concerns about whether the talks are truly benefiting everyone in the league, and some have entirely given up on it.
One user, @STLLEGEND, believed that the WNBA should’ve focused on further marketing their league, writing, “Should have embraced the needle instead of trying to cater to players that don’t move it and have no motion.”
The WNBA is NEVER giving them $10.5 million per team salary cap, the WNBA has not even responded to them in 2 weeks, and you think billionaire owners are going to cave in now?? NOT!!!!

They claim the WNBA should not’ve focused on the negotiations with players they deem had no impact on the league’s value.
And the biggest surprise was that WNBA fans share the same sentiments. Some have even blamed the players for the current issue.
“Just compulsive failure. The WNBPA too,” one user commented.
“Not to be critical, but their agenda is not a successful, profitable league, but just more money and they can’t imagine where it comes from is of any relevance,” one user remarked, raising how the CBA issues didn’t start if it wasn’t for the players’ protests, which began at the end of last year.
“wnba wasted everything man i mean EVERYTHING from 2024 to now. been a masterclass in what NOT to do,” one user commented.
“From being pretty confident of getting it to not agreeing in a new extension,” one user remarked.

Most WNBA Fans have seen how the CBA protests came to life, and that is none other than the massive spike in viewership and sales the league has experienced since last season. Fans have widely attributed this to young stars like Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, and Paige Bueckers. However, other players followed, backing higher wages due to the economic spike.
WNBA Fans hope for CBA negotiations finally ending soon
For the first time in the fanbase, WNBA Fans all agree that the ongoing CBA negotiations must end, whether for good or for bad. And just recently, WNBPA vice president Breanna Stewart assured the Fans that the WNBA and the players are getting closer to a conclusion.

However, @alanbarcoff believed that the WNBA won’t truly give the players their wish: a higher salary, writing, “The WNBA is NEVER giving them $10.5 million per team salary cap, the WNBA has not even responded to them in 2 weeks, and you think billionaire owners are going to cave in now?? NOT!!!!”

Adding to this are the WNBA Fans claiming that some players would rather stay under current ownership than seek opportunities, and the ongoing CBA negotiations have just become more complicated.
