As the Indiana Fever revisited the highlights of their 2025 season, WNBA fans couldn’t resist poking fun at the organization and speculating about what’s next.
On Friday, Fever socials shared photos from the Annika Pro-Am golf tournament, where Caitlin Clark featured for the second straight year. This time, she was joined by guest caddies Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull.
While the Tres Leches made for a memorable moment, WNBA fans questioned the motive behind the post.

@District22FC suggested, “Admin just take some PTO dawg. It’s ok.”

@tosin_omobash added, “You silly, this is when?”
And @RockyBalbo86018 has raised an interesting question: Does the constant promotion imply intent to resign Sophie? Otherwise, what’s up?”
The chatter comes at a tense time. The WNBA’s current CBA has expired, and league officials and the players’ union are still negotiating to avoid a lockout in 2026
“Commissioner Cup win #2 incoming”: WNBA fans reminisce Indiana Fever’s Commissioner Cup win
Despite injuries, the Fever still delivered in 2025 — winning the Commissioner’s Cup over the Minnesota Lynx. Fever socials revisited that night, sparking nostalgia and optimism among WNBA fans.

@reboot_theworld predicted, “Great memories in Fever history. Commissioner Cup win #2 incoming but with Caitlin playing.”
While @cc22report joked, “Ok yes this was a good night but the REAL highlight of the night was the moment Syd decided to press “Go Live” on her Insta,” recalling the fiasco caused by Sydney Colson’s live feed during the Fever’s postgame celebrations.
For WNBA fans, the Fever’s posts are more than just throwbacks — they’re reminders of what the team has already achieved and hints at what might come next.
