WNBA fans are pretty peeved at the way things are going on between the WNBPA and the league in terms of the CBA. The players and owners did have a pretty important meeting recently and it looks like it made some momentum in terms of progress.
However, fans were quite irritated when the news that Napheesa Collier, Breanna Stewart and Kelsey Plum all missed the meeting because of travel issues. Fans have been calling out the leaders of the association for being so irresponsible.
“Travel issues. Kelsey and Napheesa knew they had an important meeting on Monday. They should have been in town Sunday afternoon. That’s how much of a joke the WNBA’s players union really is. Grown people who run businesses waiting for them and they no show the week.” DayDreamThis tweeted, which got plenty of traction from other fans.

“And yet will still yap as if they are real business people,” one more fan mocked.
“When they complaining that some else should pay for their cars and housing, you know they are not professional,” another fan said.
Napheesa Collier is at the head of the negotiations between the WNBPA and the league itself. However, she does not seem to have the vote of confidence among fans of the league, many of whom feel that the hooper is just putting on a fake front.
WNBA Fans Take Napheesa Collier’s Side In Not Making It To CBA Meeting
Meanwhile, there were many WNBA fans who actually supported Napheesa Collier and Kelsey Plum for not being able to make it to the meeting. Collier and Plum seem to have had a game a day earlier, which might have made it difficult to travel. Meanwhile, many others remarked that the bad weather may have made it impossible to fly out.
“They had a game Sunday evening.” one fan said.
“They had a game last night. They didn’t make it prob bc of the weather. They did it through zoom tho along with stewie since she has a game tonight,” one more fan echoed.
“Didn’t Caitlin Clark and all players on her team missed the meeting when they were in the same city the meeting was taking place during all-star weekend?” another fan questioned.
Just like the last tweet, there were numerous fans who felt that Caitlin Clark should have been invited to the meeting since she is an important icon in the league. Others continued to troll Phee and her team, saying that she is being thoroughly unprofessional.
