WNBA fans have been mocking the MLSPA for their latest tweet in which they condemned the league for not paying their players appropriate shares of the profits they generate. The MLSPA, which stands up for the rights of soccer players in the country, took to twitter to call out the WNBA for not doing enough to pay their players like how the NBA does.

While several WNBA fans were happy to support the MLSPA’s tweet for WNBA players, others were not too happy and trolled the move. Others felt that the WNBA itself does not generate enough revenue when compared to its male counterpart and therefore, players do not have the right to ask for more money.
“It’s time for the @WNBA to pay the @TheWNBPA players an equitable share of the revenue they generate and mandate the professional working conditions they deserve. Pay them what you owe them!” MLSPA tweeted.
“LOL! Clowns. Hey, to show true solidarity, if there is a lockout you should refuse to get paid. That would make a real statement. This is just nonsensical virtue signaling from another uninformed union. Not predictable at all.” one fan called out the MLSPA.
“Remember you lost your lawsuit, but they gave you your benefits anyway. Not gonna happen again. They are playing a very stupid game that you tried and lost, the wnba won’t be so kind.” Another fan trolled.
“Notice, they use the word ‘revenue’ and cannot use the word ‘profit?’ Most companies are ‘in the back’ BEFORE they give employees a raise. Just saying. (man shrugging emoji)” one more fan pointed out.

WNBA Fans Also Commend The MLSPA For Supporting WNBPA Players
On another note, WNBA fans also came out in support of the MLSPA after they put out their latest tweet. Several WNBA fans commended the MLSPA for showing their support to female basketball players who are asking for their deserved pay.
“Thank you” one fan said.
“Solidarity! Hell yeah (Raised fist emoji)” another fan echoed.
“So @CaitlinClark22 should get millions. More than any other player” one more fan pointed out.
WNBA players have been demanding to get paid more for quite some time now, with many noting that viewership of their games has drastically increased in the last couple of years. A majority of WNBA fans who are supporting this move mainly feel that the players are entitled to this as a result of Caitlin Clark’s presence in the league. It is just colorful to see how WNBA Fans react on a glaring issue that faces the league right now.
