The Las Vegas Aces just wrapped up another dominant run, sweeping the Phoenix Mercury to claim the WNBA title. But even with back-to-back championships in the bag, not every WNBA fans seems impressed.
After clinching the trophy, the Aces made an appearance at the Raiders’ game against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, showing off their new hardware while cheering on Vegas’ NFL squad. Led by four-time MVP A’ja Wilson, the team helped boost the Raiders’ energy — and the team rewarded them with a 20–10 win.

It was a nice show of city pride — at least until the internet chimed in.
One fan wrote,
“And still losing money … No one watching middle school tom boys,” taking a jab at the WNBA’s ongoing CBA pay discussions.

“awful, nobody cares.”
“More people watched the frisbee golf championship than the wnba championship LOL.”
While the Aces’ dominance left little drama on the court — they swept the Finals in four games, capped by a 97–86 win behind Wilson’s 31 points and 9 rebounds — it clearly didn’t stop critics from talking off it.
“He’s just… there”: WNBA fans Troll Bam Adebayo After A’ja Wilson’s Historic Season
For A’ja Wilson, this title wasn’t just another trophy — it sealed her as one of the most accomplished players in WNBA history. She became the first ever player in either the WNBA or NBA to win MVP, DPOY, Finals MVP, and a scoring title in the same season.

But the spotlight also found her boyfriend, Bam Adebayo, and fans didn’t hold back.
“His girl gotta ring before him. I hope this encourages him to go for a ring himself.”
“lol you already won 3 MVPs before meeting this bum.”

“Crazy how she’s won so many individual awards and has 3 rings and he’s just…. there.”
Adebayo, for his part, remains a core piece of the Miami Heat, with two NBA Finals appearances and a pair of Olympic gold medals (2020 and 2024) under his belt — but now, his partner’s got bragging rights.
