Angel Reese has been tightening up her jumper lately, but WNBA fans aren’t exactly giving her a break. A clip of her knocking down threes has been making the rounds online, and instead of talking about the work she’s putting in, people jumped straight to jokes about her form.
“I never seen somebody shoot a curve ball,” one fan said.

Another added, “ah yes, in the gym where every nba player shoots like curry.”
A third went harsher: “You mean she’s gonna bomb shots because she sucks at every other aspect of the game. Too late to become Caitlin. The ship has sailed..like the league.”
Reese is heading into her third WNBA season, though her future in Chicago is a bit cloudy. Things didn’t end smoothly between her and the Sky after last season. Her comments about the coaching staff and the team’s struggles didn’t sit well, and the Sky wrapped the year at the bottom of the East with a 2–8 record. Whether she stays or starts fresh somewhere else is still up in the air.
“Power couple vibes”: WNBA fans react to Angel Reese supporting Wendell Carter Jr.
While the shooting debate kept rolling, Angel Reese popped up courtside to support her boyfriend, Wendell Carter Jr., during the Magic’s game against the Knicks on Saturday. The moment shifted the conversation completely.

“power couple vibes. Angel showing up courtside like it’s nothing,” one fan wrote.

Another said, “She’s gorgeous lol. All my brothas breaking they necks lol.”
A third added, “I still don’t know how yall hate her.”
Whatever noise surrounded her jumper didn’t matter much that night. Orlando took the win, 133–121, and Carter Jr. chipped in 11 points, four rebounds, and an assist in 22 minutes. Reese didn’t play, obviously — but fans had no problem calling her the Magic’s good luck charm.
