WNBA fans could not help but take a shot at Sophie Cunningham for comparing herself to Angel Reese in a recent video. Cunningham was talking about the various dietary guidelines that she is supposed to follow, which include staying off gluten. The Indiana Fever guard went on to remark that while there are many gluten-free versions, she does not like their taste.

The player also remarked that she is allowed to have more chicken. While fans were happy to listen to Cunningham talk about her diet, they believe that she crossed a line when she compared herself to Angel Reese, who recently walked the Victoria’s Secret ramp.

“Same person that slept with a team owner lol” one fan reminded everyone of the lawsuit which mentioned that Cunningham had an affair with Phoenix Mercury CEO Josh Bartelstein.

“Sophie is such a loser” another fan remarked.

“She is so tiring honestly” one more fan added in the comments section.

While Sophie Cunningham might not have intentionally meant her statement as a diss to Angel Reese, fans of the two players are pretty tough rivals themselves. Originally the rivalry started off between Reese and Caitlin Clark. However, in the last season Cunningham has set herself up as Clark’s shadow, thus creating her own rivalry with Reese.

WNBA Fans Troll Her Desire To Be Like Angel Reese

WNBA fans can definitely be mean and many examples could be seen below the video clip of Sophie Cunningham mentioning she wants to be like Angel Reese. Many fans were having none of this as they trolled Cunningham’s looks and derided her for even wanting to be similar to Reese.

“Girl you will never be Angel Reese not even a million years I’ll call you slick bucket” one fan remarked.

“Girl scram. You really can’t post a content without mentioning other people. Always gotta mention other people’s name to stay relevant.” another fan added.

“She needs to remember her place (crying emoji x2) and that she’s only popular by association” another fan commented.

At the same time, there were also many who felt that Cunningham was simply saying she wanted to have a body like a Victoria’s Secret model, like Angel Reese. Some fans called out others for simply stirring the pot unnecessarily. Of course, the majority were pot-shots at Cunningham, with many mocking her looks and physique.
