Angel Reese continues to stay busy off the court — but WNBA fans just won’t let her breathe.
On Monday night, the Chi-Town Barbie joined a host of celebrities walking the red carpet at the 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards. Before the event, Reese took to X to share her excitement, tweeting,
“can’t wait to see all my girls todayyy.”
Not long after, a fan replied,
“Angel you’ve been mia.”

Reese didn’t hold back with her response.
“That was the goal for this offseason. Quietly minding my business so everybody won’t mind MINE,” she wrote.

But fans quickly jumped in to call her out, saying her reply contradicted her message.
One fan wrote, “Then why are you responding to this?”
Another added, “I thought we were your business.”
A third fan commented, “This broad says the dumbest sh*t. Tries incredibly hard to seem intelligent.”
Despite the noise, Angel Reese hasn’t exactly been “quiet.” Between high-profile fashion events and endorsement appearances, she’s been one of the most visible WNBA players this offseason.
The 22-year-old forward turned heads earlier this year at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, becoming the first professional athlete—alongside Olympic gymnast Sunisa Lee—to appear on the runway. Now, she’s brought her signature confidence to the CFDA Fashion Awards, where she wore a sleek all-black gown and debuted a new blonde look.
“She still sucks at basketball”: WNBA fans mock Angel Reese after appearance in the CFDA Fashion Awards
The reaction didn’t stop at her tweet. WNBA fans once again filled social media with jokes about Reese’s appearance at the CFDA event, poking fun at her game and fashion choices alike.

One fan said, “She still sucks at basketball.”

Another wrote, “Blonde hair looks awful on her.”
A third added, “She looks like a praying mantis on testosterone.”
Love her or hate her, Angel Reese keeps finding ways to stay in the spotlight even with no basketball being played. While fans continue to take shots at her, Reese appears unbothered—focused on her growing brand, fashion ventures, and waiting for the latest developments from the ongoing WNBA CBA negotiations.
