Antonio Brown has once again gone viral, this time pulling WNBA fans into the chaos. The former NFL receiver posted a bizarre photo mash-up of Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts with LSU legend and Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese’s face edited on top.

His caption? @AB84:
“Jalen Hurts last night.”

That single post set social media on fire, with WNBA fans and NFL followers reacting in every way possible. Many didn’t find it funny — especially given how often Brown crosses the line for attention. One fan, @realmanofgenius, summed it up perfectly, saying,
“It Hurts just to look at it.”
Another, @TXHockeyRef, simply commented,
“That’s harsh bro.”
While Antonio Brown’s sense of humor is usually unpredictable, this one hit a nerve. WNBA fans immediately came to Reese’s defense, saying she didn’t deserve to be the punchline of a random internet joke. Some even pointed out that the edit had racial and gender undertones, especially with Brown’s history of trolling athletes online.
Still, not everyone took it seriously. A few WNBA fans turned the comment section into a meme war, joking about Brown’s “Photoshop skills” and the never-ending celebrity crossover between sports worlds. But for many others, this post was just another reminder that women athletes are still easy targets for online ridicule.

Angel Reese hasn’t commented on the image, but her fans have spoken loud and clear — they’re not laughing this time.
Angel Reese’s “Certified Board Barbie” Debate Splits WNBA Fans
After Antonio Brown’s post stirred controversy, another wave of WNBA fans discussion broke out — this time over Angel Reese’s image and reputation itself. Her supporters and critics clashed online about whether the rookie forward should still be celebrated after the Chicago Sky’s rollercoaster season.
The official Chicago Sky probably had the best intentions by tweeting from @chicagosky,
“CERTIFIED. BOARD. BARBIE.” And a poster displaying her achievement as the 2025 WNBA Peak Performer. But it reopened old wounds for WNBA fans who felt Reese had left the team hanging near the end of the season.

One reply that caught traction came from @GPinTN1, who wrote,
“She literally quit on the team.. I wouldn’t be celebrating her… js.”
Other WNBA fans took Reese’s side. @Omee_lee countered, saying,
“You guys are fake! Y’all lost the plot, we waiting where she lands.” in a nod to a potential departure for AR.
It’s the kind of split that defines modern WNBA fans culture — half loyal, half skeptical, and all vocal. Some argue Reese represents the new wave of confident, media-savvy athletes. Others think she should let her play do the talking before embracing the “Board Barbie” persona.
The debate might not come to a conclusion anytime soon. There’s still a whole offseason for Angel and the Sky to sort this out. While that happens, the audience is watching.
