WNBA fans, in a recent post on social media, played around with the idea of a potential Caitlin Clark and “Happy Gilmore” crossover, with Clark playing golf the way the character in the movie does.

In a recent post by Hollywood star Adam Sandler, Caitlin Clark was spotted in a hoto with the comedian, and WNBA fans were quick to come up with an imaginary scenario involving Clark and one of Sandler’s most iconic characters.

“I’d love to see her play golf with a hockey stick!” one fan said, referring to the Indiana Fever star.

The comment was made in reference to Sandler’s iconic movie, “Happy Gilmore.” In the film, the Hollywood star plays the role of a frustrated hockey player who eventually picks up a golf club and dominates the PGA tour using a swinging technique similar to a hockey swing. The popularity of both the film and the character made the image of someone playing golf with a hockey stick an iconic comedic scene.

Caitlin Clark has demonstrated an active interest in golf, showing public interest with a few appearances at or talking about golf events that ultimately drew public interest, and some social media posts where she either appeared to be golfing or was explicitly communicating her enjoyment of the game.

The WNBA star has even posted about charity golf tournaments with a playful caption about trying out golf as a potential hobby in the offseason. Clark has said many times that golf was a low-stress way for her to unwind and spend time with her friends and teammates.

While Clark remains focused on her basketball career, her sporadic golf involvement has drawn fan interest and media coverage as another facet of her growing public profile.

WNBA Fans Tease Adam Snadelr’s Height in Photo With Caitlin Clark

More than a potential “Happy Gilmore” and Indiana Fever mashup, one major detail that fans noticed in the photo of Caitlin Clark and Adam Sandler was that they seemed to be standing at the same height.

If data online is accurate, Adam Snadledr stands at approximately 5 feet 10 inches, or 1.77 meters. On the other hand, Clark reportedly stands at 6 feet, or 1.83 meters. However, their photo appeared to show them on equal standing.

“I’m surprised he’s as tall as her,” one fan noted.

“How many apple boxes are you standing on to match her height?” another quipped, talking about Sandler.

Right now, WNBA fans are looking forward to the offseason recovery of Catilin Clark, who missed the majority of the 2025 regular season.
