Paige Bueckers and Angel Reese caught the attention of the WNBA fans who were tuned in during the match between the New York Knicks and the Orlando Magic on Sunday.
The Chi-Town Barbie rolled into Madison Square Garden alongside the 2025 WNBA Rookie of the Year, and the two spent part of the broadcast joking around about everything from how they’d crush their snacks to whether they’d rather win by 30 or hit a game-winner as part of their promo run for the collab between Reese’s and Oreo.

The moment was harmless fun, but WNBA Twitter wasn’t going to let it pass without commentary.
One fan said, “Watching Paige Bueckers talk black while Angel Reese tries her best to talk white is hilarious.”

Another asked, “does paige code switch or does she talk like this all the time?”
A third chimed in with, “Bro idc Paige look fine as hell gng.”
For now, both stars are in a holding pattern as the league and players’ union continue their slow — and at times tense — negotiations on a new CBA. Until that deal is locked in, the start of the next WNBA season remains on pause.
“About to unlock a hidden level”: WNBA fans imagine Bueckers and Reese as teammates
Because the two appeared together for Reese’s Oreo partnership, fans immediately jumped into fantasy-GM mode, wondering whether this could be a preview of something bigger. With free agency looming and several teams expected to shuffle pieces, the possibility of Bueckers and Reese landing on the same roster wasn’t dismissed as completely far-fetched.

One fan wrote, “You put those two in the same building and the court probably started glowing like it was about to unlock a hidden level.”
Another added, “Two badasses in one frame, no notes.”
A third kept it simple: “future teammates.”
Reese’s situation in Chicago only fuels the speculation. The Sky ended last season on a sour note, with Reese openly asking for more from both teammates and the coaching staff after another frustrating run. Her pointed comments about the group’s shortcomings didn’t go unnoticed and sparked plenty of conversation about whether she’d outgrown the current setup in the Windy City.
If the relationship is truly strained, the door is wide open for a move — and teaming up with one of her closest friends in the league would make plenty of sense. Whether that ends up happening or just stays in the realm of fan wish-casting will depend on how the offseason shakes out once the CBA dust finally settles.
