WNBA Fans have always seen Caitlin Clark, guard for the Indiana Fever, as the future face of the WNBA due to her bringing popularity to the once-underwatched league. Ever since Clark rose to stardom in 2024, Fans have gathered to support her and defend her against constant criticisms and doubts about her impact on the league.

This is exactly what happened when X/Twitter user and YouTuber @BlameVenom believed that most WNBA players still don’t acknowledge Clark’s effect on the league, and that they shall be entitled to what she has brought to them. His post gained traction from many WNBA fans.

Raw, Unfiltered Truth About The WNBA’s Current State Due To Caitlin’s Impact On The League. The Players Are Entitled To What Caitlin Has Brung But Spite Her Every Chance They Get 💯 From The Commissioner, To Media Members, To The… pic.twitter.com/UQALiRdwXL

One user, @chrisd2846, wrote, “She got us all bro. I’m in, hard to be a fan of the league with all the jealous, toxic females. Her team piss me off big time allowing anyone to touch her with no consequences. Boston needs to flatten a couple to send a strong message. Say you love someone, PROVE IT, like sophie,” believing that Clark’s teammates need to act more to prove and show their support for the two-time WNBA All-Star.

Meanwhile, the user @RussM71 commented, “Her brand has now eclipsed the entirety of the WNBA. Her Nike shoe deal is now being compared to the Air Jordan launch. Her patented CC logo is being leveraged by Nike bypassing the WNBA altogether. She is soon going to be worth more than multiple WNBA franchises,” raising how not only she is making a name on the court, but also beating other WNBA stars on their merch value.

The user @glassy_Tam also wrote, “I was at the New York Liberty game when CC just came back from her first injury and she went off the charts! [hearts] Lost my voice for 3 days. Non stop cheering!! So much fun!!!!”

WNBA Fans recall NBA star’s praise over Caitlin Clark

Caitlin Clark hasn’t just gotten praise from the WNBA Fans, but also from NBA and San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanayama, who once said that he found Clark’s skills impressive. While many WNBA Fans agree with Wemby’s statement, some Fans have also raised their own concerns, believing it will garner hate and criticism from other WNBA players.

“The lesbian tribe will say his opinion doesn’t matter,” one user wrote.

“Love him and feel the same way. But Wemby saying this might make other wnba players mad again about Caitlin Clark I think?” one user posted.

Either way, the WNBA Fans, whether in support or in criticism of Clark, all believe that she has indeed brought an impact to the league never seen before.
