WNBA fans are heavily trolling a fan account for saying that Paige Bueckers will become the face of the Unrivaled League. Bueckers has made her debut in the 3×3 tournament in its second season, and has already become one of the fan-favorite players.
However, it is definitely unfair to say that Bueckers is the lead player of the league, since it already has numerous other incredibly popular ballers. At the same time, many fans are pointing out the declining viewership of Unrivaled, especially when compared to its first season.
“Paige Bueckers might just become the face of Unrivaled Season 2 (clapping hands emoji)” EJayArrow tweeted.

“Why? Because it has no viewers?” one fan trolled.

“She was the most popular player in the league before the season started. This isn’t a bold statement. A real statement would have been that she is the face of a league that literally has almost no other faces watching them.” one more fan highlighted.
“Well yeah. That’s how Unrivaled has been marketed. She’s supposed to be the big draw now.” another fan stated.
WNBA Fans Hurl Insults At Unrivaled For Dipping Viewership
Meanwhile, many WNBA fans took the opportunity to troll the Unrivaled League for their dipping viewership, especially compared to their debut season. The league has been seeing some depleting TV ratings, with many haters even going on to question the need for its existence.

“The face of a league that plays in a venue the size of a high school gym, and had pathetic TV ratings. Congrats.” One fan mocked.

“All 40,000 viewers say YAY! (smiling face with open mouth emoji)” another fan remarked.
“Is there really a face when hardly anyone watching (crying emoji)” one more fan questioned.
Apart from Paige Bueckers, the Unrivaled League has a number of other superstars playing. However, with the absence of legendary ballers like Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese this time, it looks like the league is seeing a decrease in viewership this season.

Reese did play in the debut season of the tournament, citing injury woes and a need for rest. On the other side, Caitlin Clark chose to sit out both seasons, which has brought some hatred towards the baller for not doing her bit to a women-founded basketball tournament, which has one of the highest salary ranges in the world.
