WNBA Fans are once again arguing in the comments after an old Angel Reese Vogue cover resurfaced and began spreading across timelines.
@AthleteVanity reposted the image from Vogue’s 2025 Winter issue, writing, “1 year ago, Angel Reese graced the cover of Vogue Magazine.” The outlet added, “She became the first WNBA player to land a solo Vogue cover.” The post also included more photos from the shoot and a quote from Reese herself: “IT’S ALWAYS BEEN BOTH: BASKETBALL AND FASHION.”

The images quickly pulled in WNBA Fans, and the reactions went in very different directions.
One of the most shared replies came from @SWEATYRUS, who wrote, “And her eyes still get farther apart each day [face with tears of joy emoji].” The user also added, “Fun fact: Vogue saw CAREER LOW in sales on this magazine’s edition [grimacing face emoji] But Athlete Vanity won’t mention this… shameful.”
That comment spread fast, with WNBA Fans debating both the tone and the claim. Some asked for proof. Others brushed it off as trolling. Many focused on how every Angel Reese post seems to pull in the same type of replies.

At the same time, WNBA Fans supportive of Reese pointed back to what the cover represented. The fact that she became the first WNBA player with a solo Vogue cover remained central to how many viewed the post, regardless of comment-section noise.
As the thread grew, WNBA Fans split into familiar lanes. One side treated the resurfaced shoot as a flex and a cultural milestone. The other side treated it as another chance to take shots.
What stood out most was how quickly the conversation moved away from fashion and into personal digs. The Vogue cover became less about styling and more about online behavior.
For many WNBA Fans, the moment showed how Angel Reese isn’t just discussed for basketball or business anymore. Even old photos can reignite the same cycles of praise, trolling, and argument.
By the end of the day, WNBA Fans were still reposting the shoot, not because it was new, but because the reactions made it feel new all over again.
WNBA Fans Reignite Angel Reese Teardown After “Would You Rather” Thread Resurfaces
The Vogue comments weren’t the only place where Angel Reese became a trending topic. Around the same time, an older “would you rather” thread resurfaced, bringing another wave of reactions from WNBA Fans.
@WTFPoiizen retweeted the post and wrote, “Can do a lot with 600k yall need to stop with these hypotheticals like people ain’t choosing 600k ill take 5k over Angel Reese.” The quote quickly gained traction and reflected the overall tone of the replies.

From there, the thread leaned heavily into teardown territory.
@freeman103101 added, “I wouldn’t hit that for free [face with tears of joy emoji].” The comment was widely shared, with WNBA Fans pointing out how fast these hypotheticals tend to turn personal.
Another reply took things even further.
@matthew_we98092 posted, “I’d pay 5k for her to shut the **** up,” before adding a cartoon comparison and another insult about her play. The message sparked pushback alongside support, with WNBA Fans arguing over whether the jokes had crossed the line.
Across the replies, WNBA Fans weren’t really debating the original question anymore. The thread had turned into a pile-on, with most posts focused on shock value rather than discussion.
Some WNBA Fans said the whole setup was bait from the start. Others said these threads always end the same way, with engagement farming turning into open shots at players.
What connected the reactions to the Vogue post was familiarity. Different topics, same outcome. Angel Reese trends, and the comments quickly split into defenders and detractors.
As both threads circulated, WNBA Fans once again saw how fast online conversations shift. One moment it’s fashion. The next it’s hypotheticals. And before long, it’s another example of how quickly timelines reward the loudest reactions.
