Angel Reese’s Victoria’s Secret runway debut might’ve been historic, but that didn’t stop WNBA fans from taking their usual jabs at the Chicago Sky star.
On Thursday, NBA Memes on X stirred things up by asking followers a simple question: would they take $500,000 or have dinner with Angel Reese? And of course, the replies came flooding in.

“Give me 5$ and I’ll pretend you never asked me this question.”

“I will take the money because I would need $50,000 to have the image of Angel Reese scrubbed from my eyes and my mind.”
A third piled on, writing,
“I take $500k with relative ease then ring Caitlin Clark if she’s available for dinner. Angel by name but a devil in disguise.”
The online roasting didn’t seem to bother Reese, though. The Chi-Town Barbie still made history — becoming the first professional athlete to ever walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, sharing the stage with Olympic gold medalist Suni Lee.
“Same girl who complains about being sexualized”: WNBA fans bring up old controversy
Even after stealing the spotlight at the VS show, Angel Reese couldn’t escape criticism from fans who revisited her past comments about being sexualized.

“Same girl who complains about being sexualized btw.”

“Wasn’t she the one complaining about being sexualized? And she is not that attractive.”
A third resurfaced an old clip of Reese twerking in June — after she’d publicly said she was tired of being sexualized — captioning it, “This 2.0.”
Back in 2024, near the end of her college run with LSU, Reese opened up about facing constant online abuse and unwanted sexualization in women’s basketball. And while the criticism hasn’t stopped, her ability to block out the noise and stay in the spotlight speaks for itself.
