WNBA news: So much has been made about Caitlin Clark being overlooked for the national squad for the upcoming Paris Olympics.
On Saturday, Clark helped lead Team WNBA to an eye-opening 117-109 victory against Team USA in the WNBA All-Star Game. More than a few fans believe that there had to be some vindication on the end of the 22-year-old after their win against the national team. As it turns out, however, this just wasn’t the case for the Indiana Fever superstar.
WNBA News: Caitlin Clark Reacts to Taking Down Team USA

For her part, Clark is just happy to have been part of the experience as she looks to help prepare Team USA for their upcoming quest for gold — an objective that Clark believes is still well within reach for the Americans despite Saturday’s surprise defeat.
“Um, no. They’re really good. They have plenty of talent on that team,” Clark responded when asked if the win served as vindication for her after being omitted from the national team roster. “… Four years prior, I’m pretty sure Team WNBA beat Team USA. They were perfectly fine in the Olympics. If anything, it shows how good this league is.
“… I’m gonna be supporting them and cheering them on. … They are gonna be just fine. They’re gonna win gold and dominate. So, I’m not worried.”

As much as the media wants to fuel the Caitlin Clark vs. Team USA narrative, the rookie sensation just isn’t giving them the satisfaction. Clark remains all-in in supporting the national team as they head to Paris with the objective of repeating their gold-medal run in the 2020 Olympics.
