Drew Timme appeared at the Los Angeles Lakers’ postgame presser Sunday night rocking a shirt most NBA players wouldn’t touch with a ten-foot pole.
After seeing “Sexual Tyrannosaurus” printed on his yellow t-shirt, reporters did a double-take, and his unusual answer forced social media to go berserk.
Lakers’ Drew Timme Embraces Predator Vibes With “Sexual Tyrannosaurus” Shirt
The two-way forward had just helped the Lakers snap a two-game skid against Toronto. But instead of his 3-point game, everyone is talking about his wardrobe. When asked about the bold fashion choice, he responded with the confidence of a vet.

A reporter asked, “You’re sitting up here at the podium of a Laker game wearing a T-shirt that says Sexual Tyrannosaurus.”
Drew Timme replied, “I’m not big into fashion. This is a Predator movie reference…This is my fashion.”

The shirt references a legendary line from the 1987 action flick Predator. Jesse Ventura’s character, Blain Cooper, claims chewing tobacco makes him feel like a “goddamn sexual Tyrannosaurus.”
It’s peak ’80s machismo, but why is this shirt controversial? This phrase screams hyper-masculinity cranked to absurd levels. It’s the kind of wardrobe that belongs in a cheesy action flick, not on primetime NBA broadcasts.

Just to recap, a similar type of wardrobe he sported during Summer League last year. For many, it seemed very provocative rather than nostalgic, so they expected an apology. But Timme owned it like classic Predator energy.
Lakers Fans React to Drew Timme’s Wild Response
Fans on social media exploded immediately. Here’s what the hoops community had to say:
One fan wrote, “That’s ok, tell ’em you’re gay…. They’ll apologize.”
Another claimed, “I just became a bigger Drew Timme fan.”
The third noted, “predator reference is infinitely more respectable than whatever designer brands athletes usually wear.”
A fourth shared, “drew timme fashion is on point.”
The fifth one remarked, “Haha, that shirt is wild.”
The majority of the people found it hilarious that a two-way player showed up in a shirt that would make PR teams sweat. The Lakers signed Timme to a two-way deal in November.
He’s bounced between the main roster and South Bay. Sunday wasn’t his first rodeo with viral fashion, but quite frankly, it likely added a black mark to his reputation.
