New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson is coming to the 2025 season with the full support of his girlfriend, who expressed admiration for him on social media.
In a recent story on Instagram, Ahkeema Love, the girlfriend of New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson, posted her words of admiration and appreciation for her partner, in light of the Pelicans playing their preseason game against the Melbourne United.

“A man knows right away what position he wants you in his life, it doesn’t take years or eventually getting there. It’s there from the beginning. My twin. My soul mate. A mutual connection, the second we met, I love you for life,” Ahkeema Love wrote.
Zion Williamson‘s availability on the court during the past seasons has been restricted in large part due to ongoing health problems, particularly lower body ailments that have affected him both the New Orleans Pelicans, from 2019 to 2023, and before he entered the NBA.
He has missed extended periods of time due to a foot fracture, hamstring strains, aging conditioning, and he has missed more games than he has played. To date, he has played in 214 games versus 268 games missed.
Zion Williamson Wows Crowd in Preseason Appearance
Zion Williamson had an excellent performance in his much-anticipated return to the court, as played with Pelicans for their 107-97 preseason win over Melbourne United.

Williamson flashed the elite level of athleticism expected from him with highlight-reel-inspiring dunks, finishers in transition, and strong play in the paint during the team’s first competitive game since he suffered an injury in March.
“I felt great. I felt great,” Williamson said post-game on how his body felt after their first hitout. “It felt like as soon as I caught my second wind, I was done for the night. But I had a great time. The fans were great, and it’s always great playing a game of basketball.”
“He came out and got started right away,” Green said, praising Williamson for his ability to deliver and be relied on. “I loved his activity defensively, getting steals, deflections, and then getting out on the open floor, playing in fastbreak opportunities.”
He added that they know they can “put the ball in his hands,” and that he makes plays for the entire team, and not only for himself.
When the game slows down, we know we can put the ball in his hands in the post or in the high post, and he makes plays for his teammates or for himself.”

Zion Williamson is expected to be a regular starter for the Pelicans for the 2025-2026 season.
