Adding another milestone to her fast-growing list of achievements, Angel Reese is set to become the first professional athlete to walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, happening Wednesday in New York City.
The 23-year-old Chicago Sky forward broke the news on Instagram Thursday, posting stunning shots of herself in a black swimsuit with white feathered wings and a pink robe from her photoshoot.

“Stepping into a dream: From Angel to a Victoria Secret ANGEL,” she captioned. “I’m finally getting my wings [wings emoji] I’ll be walking the Victoria’s Secret 2025 runway show for the first time, and it feels like destiny. [sparkles emoji] Wings on, heels ready…Catch me on the runway [growin heart emoji] @victoriassecret.”

Fans and celebrities quickly flooded her comments with praise — including influencer Alix Earle, girlfriend of NFL player Braxton Berrios, who dropped a simple yet fitting reaction:
“Aghhhhhhh [three heart emojis] .”
Beyond her viral modeling debut, Reese continues to expand her brand far beyond basketball. The “Chi-Town Barbie” now holds over 20 endorsement deals, a signature Reebok shoe line, and recently landed on the cover of NBA 2K26’s WNBA edition — solidifying her as one of the league’s biggest crossover stars.
“If you do not see the clip, do not believe it”: Angel Reese Pushes Back on Fake News
With fame comes constant scrutiny — something Reese knows all too well. In July, a fake quote circulated online claiming she said,
“Y’all make $1,400 a week… I make $1,400 in 7 days.” The viral post racked up more than 10 million views before being debunked.
Notice how you don’t see any actual video of Angel Reese saying “Y’all make $1400 a week, I make $1400 in 7 days.”

Addressing the issue on her “Unapologetically Angel” podcast, Reese urged her fans to verify anything they see about her online.
“Everything I say here, if y’all don’t see the clip, y’all don’t see the video come from my mouth or me saying certain things, do not believe it,” she said, referencing the false quote.
She wrapped up with a clear message for her followers:
“Repeat after me: If you do not see the clip, do not believe it.”

From the hardwood to high fashion, Angel Reese continues to make her mark — and she’s doing it her way.
