Angel Reese once again got the jab from one of her known critics, in light of the recent “no bag policy” implemented in live WNBA games.

The WNBA implemented a “no bag policy” in an effort to thwart cases of fans throwing dildos from the audience area onto the court, even hitting players at one point. Analyst and critic Jason Whitlock commented on this new policy, shading Chicago Sky star Angel Reese.
“Aka… Angel Reese Night across the WNBA,” he wrote in his post.

The WNBA has announced a hard no-bag policy at select arenas after a final series of strange events where fans threw sex toys on the court during live games. The league confirmed it would follow other leagues in implementing the policy after several occurrences where neon green dildos were thrown onto the court from the stands, with safety noted as a concern and podium statements by players and coaches condemning the incidents.
Officials say the policy aims to stop fans from sneaking inappropriate items into the venues, with the security check enhanced with metal detectors.

The WNBA Players Association has supported the enforcement of this rule, but the fan reaction has been mixed. Some fans believe it is necessary to protect the athletes and the integrity of the game while others feel that it adds an unnecessary burden to the fans who are attending the game.
Will Angel Reese be Traded Out of The Sky?
Angel Reese’s brief “heavy on the PS” reply to Brittney Sykes’ “liberating” farewell message after Sykes was traded to Seattle ignited speculation about Reese’s own future in Chicago. Reese, sidelined with a back injury and with no timetable for return, has watched the Sky skid into the trade deadline, adding context to fans’ interpretations of her comment.
On social media, some fans read the message as a desire to leave, but Reese is in year two of a four-year, $324,383 rookie contract, a deal that gives Chicago little incentive to move her now. Despite chatter linking her to contenders, there’s no concrete reporting that the Sky are shopping her ahead of the deadline.

As the deadline nears, league observers peg Chicago as a likely seller, with interest around shooters like Rebecca Allen and Rachel Banham, while guidance has been to “listen on just about any offer that doesn’t involve Angel Reese or Kamilla Cardoso.” Banham is nearing the end of a two-year, $190,000 deal, making her a plausible trade piece as the Sky look to add future assets.
