The Boston Celtics returned to winning ways, following a 136-107 rout of the Washington Wizards. In the said match, Josh Minott had his best game as a pro. The fourth-year forward had a career-high 21 points, five rebounds, and three steals on 8-for-12 shooting from the field in 34 minutes of action.

Minott’s athleticism and energy have helped him become a fan favorite, and Boston Celtics teammate Jaylen Brown has, of course, taken notice.
“He’s huge for us. Josh, his energy, his length, his athleticism is big for us. So anytime when he brings it like that, we’re a better team, so just encouraging him to be consistent… to bring that same energy,” Brown said of Minott via Daniel Donabedian of ClutchPoints.

“He could be a really good player in this league,” he continued.. “And nights like tonight, he showed it.”

Josh Minott is looking like a man on a mission for the Boston Celtics, as he believes that the 2025-26 campaign is a make-or-break year for his NBA career, especially since he could never crack the rotation before with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

“I don’t consider I have any staying power, man,” Minott acknowledged via Souichi Terada of MassLive. “I’m trying to go out there like this (expletive) can end tomorrow because it can. It very much can. I’m appreciative that they’ve trusted me with that. At the end of the day, every time I go out, I assume it can always be taken from me because it very well can be.”
“He plays with a lot of energy. He’s going to rebound for us. He’s going to guard pretty much their best defender, too. His versatility is big-time, and we’ve been playing great since he got to the starting lineup, and he’s been a great addition for our team,” Neemias Queta said of Minott.
