Social media personality Brittany Renner got an honest input from former NBA star Gilbert Arenas, who chimed in with his perspective on the recent viral video issue involving Renner and her ex, PJ Washington.
In a video on Instagram, Arenas highlighted how a child would usually cry when separated from their mother, which has been the biggest point of argument by Brittany Renner on the viral video.

“I just don’t get it. Obviously, a son is more attached to his mother at that age, because the mother loves them, give them everything they want,” Arenas said. “So the fact that you’re trying to use that as some type of evidence like ‘oh! He don’t wanna be with you. So you’re filming it, thinking you’re about to use it in court, so you take away visitation.”
Arenas also likened Renner’s demands on child support to chasing a max contract off custody rights.
“Brittany Renner out here treating custody like it’s free agency,” he said. “She trying to get max contracts off custody rights. [The] lil man gon’ be the only kid in AAU with a sneaker deal just to cover mom’s lawyer fees.”

Brittany Renner faced a wave of criticism online after a video of her heated custody exchange with ex-partner PJ Washington went viral. Across platforms, users accused Renner of manufacturing drama by filming what they saw as a private moment, with many claiming she was more interested in public optics than her son’s well-being.
Hashtags calling out Renner trended on X, while Instagram comment threads filled with derisive remarks about her decision to capture the confrontation on camera rather than handling it behind closed doors.
Brittany Renner Puts Brooklyn Nets Star on Hot Seat
Brittany Renner, best known for speaking candidly about high-profile relationships and parenting, was the featured guest on Brooklyn Nets forward Michael Porter Jr.’s off-season podcast, Curious Mike. A teaser clip released earlier last week showed Renner, fresh off a widely publicized dispute with Charlotte Hornets forward PJ Washington over co-parenting their child, as she joined Porter for an unfiltered chat.

In the snippet, Renner pressed Porter on why he steers clear of pursuing serious relationships with women who’ve previously dated NBA stars. Porter responded that dating someone with an ex-player’s history and a child can create ego conflicts and added complexities. He admitted he’s historically avoided that dynamic but leaves the door open to growth, noting he’s “not stuck in [his] ways.”

Renner joined the star-studded list of guests that Porter had in his show so far, which included Johnny Manziel, Lana Rhoades, and Denver Nuggets owner Josh Kroneke.
Brittany Renner, so far, has not given any follow-up update on the viral incident between her and her ex, PJ Washington.
