The Brooklyn Nets have suffered a huge injury blow, as Cam Thomas is set to miss at least three to four weeks due to a hamstring injury. Thomas hurt his hamstring early in the first quarter against the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday.

Several Brooklyn Nets fans are worried about Thomas’ history of hamstring injuries. However, the 24-year-old assures them that he’ll do everything in his power to return as soon as possible.
“It’s obviously frustrating being hurt with anything. Nobody wants to be injured, sitting off to the side. But I’m not really concerned about it. I’ll be back in no time. So, I’m not really upset or concerned; it’s just unfortunate. But good thing it happened earlier this year, so we can get on top of that, and I can be back as soon as I can,” Thomas told ClutchPoints’ Erik Slater.

“Since I’ve had (this injury), I already know (what it feels like). I definitely felt like strictly tightness, so I honestly thought I was going to be able to go back in… But they were being cautious with it. I’m thankful for that,” he continued. “I don’t wanna make it worse than it already was… I played like two plays after that, and I was like, yeah, nah, I just don’t feel right. I gotta come out.”
Brooklyn Nets suffer brutal NBA Cup loss vs. Detroit Pistons
The Brooklyn Nets couldn’t follow up on their recent win against the Indiana Pacers, as they suffered a 125-107 loss at home last night. Michael Porter Jr. was the team’s bright spot with 28 points, five rebounds, and five three-pointers on 8-for-17 shooting from the field.

“We let them live in the paint and we shouldn’t have,” Brooklyn Nets forward Noah Clowney said via The New York Post. “We knew going into the game we shouldn’t have done that, and we still let them live in the paint. They got big guys all sitting in the paint, and you keep letting them get layups and dunks, it’s gonna be efficient.”
“They ended up fighting their rhythm and doing what they do with their ball pressure and their physicality, and we didn’t handle it well,” head coach Fernández said. “I told the guys I was proud of their effort. We just gotta be better. We all believe and feel we can be better than this.”
