Josh Giddey has many eyes on him this season with his All-Star worthy performances and unfortunately, that means a lot of people saw the way he was dropped by De’Andre Hunter in their game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The play took place in the third quarter when the Chicago Bulls were still leading their hosts. Hunter got him isolated at the left side of the court and made him dance. Giddey tried his best but then his assignment was just too shifty. Two crossovers and he’s gone to the floor lying flat on his back.

That’s not the worst part as it looked like it was a literal ankle break when he was seen limping and was brought to the locker room to be looked at.
Giddey was limping after this ankle breaker. 😬

Josh Giddey on probable injury
Giddey continued playing despite the injury scare. Talking to reporters post game when asked about his ankle and the play, he said he is doing okay.
Giddey said his ankle feels “ok”
Asked if he felt he could give the same physically after rolling it, Giddey said: “I tried to do my best out there with what I could.” Said he wouldn’t have played if he didn’t think he could contribute to trying to win.

Unfortunately for him and the Bulls, the game was taken away from them in the last 1:47 when they were still leading by 6 points. The Cavs used a 12-0 run to steal the game led by Donovan Mitchell who went on a rampage and scored eight points in that span.

That’s what Giddey is more concerned about. He took responsibility for late game lapses.
Giddey took ownership of this, but he wasn’t the only one to mention a need to “figure out what we’re gonna run down the stretch.” Bulls were in range — and in the driver’s seat tonight — in both legs of this b2b and offense fell flat. pic.twitter.com/igyDYhD0ef

The Bulls will attempt to return to winning ways when the host Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs on Monday.
