Dallas Mavericks invested on Anthony Davis, his defense, and his championship experience when they made the shocking decision to move on from Luka Doncic. How are things going now? Looks like it is time for them to move on from AD, too. At least according to NBA great Charles Barkley.

Davis, his defense, and his experience hasn’t been that present for the Mavs since arriving the team in February, no thanks to a number of injuries he incur. He is set to be out again for the struggling Mavs after getting injured during Christmas Day game with the Golden State Warriors.
It happened early in the second quarter during a non-contact play.

He played just 11 minutes and finished with 3 points and rebounds. Dallas lost. Shams Charania reported that it was a groin injury. The severity of the injury is still unknown.
A popular Mavs fan account unearthed an unusual and alarming stat involving the 10-time All-Star.

No player has had more locker room trips in their career than Anthony Davis :

Mavs should move on from Anthony Davis
Mavs lost by double digits by they still managed to keep it close, especially during the last six minutes of the game. Behind it is their rookie Cooper Flagg who led everyone in scoring with 27 points. He also had 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
Flagg is a franchise player and for Barkley, it is time for the Mavs to face the painful truth. They did not just lose Luka Doncic, they also got fleeced by getting an often-injured AD. Therefore, they should move on and trade away the one-time NBA champion.

“What are the Mavs gonna do?” he asked. “They’re in trouble now, because it’s clear to me that Anthony Davis, as much as we like him and love him as a player, he’s never gonna be healthy.
“They gotta make a decision.”
The analyst also said that the decisions should be centered around Flagg.
“I think I might move on,” he said. “If I was running the team, I’d say, ‘You know what? It’s Cooper’s team now.”
