Brandon Miller can’t wait to suit up for the Charlotte Hornets again next season, and he continues to work his way back from the season-ending wrist injury he sustained earlier this calendar year.

The 22-year-old swingman underwent surgery to repair the torn ligament in his right wrist in late January. Miller played only 27 regular season games in 2024-25, averaging 21.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.1 steals on 40.3 percent shooting from the field.

“It’s probably around 90-95% now,” Miller said about his wrist injury via Langston Wertz Jr. of The Charlotte Observer. “I started contact (drills). I’ll be ready the first day the season starts and I’m just excited to get back out on the court with my guys.”

“Definitely hard. Playing 27 games, that was the hardest thing of my career right there. Just watching basketball the whole season. My goal is always to play every game and play 110% in every game,” he continued.

In the same interview, former NBA star Muggsy Bogues believes the Charlotte Hornets have a future superstar in Brandon Miller, with whom he has developed a close relationship in the past few months.

“I see something special in Brandon,” Bogues said. “He just has a great soul. A kid that worked extremely hard to get to where he is, and now he’s come to a city where I’ve been for quite some time, and anything I can do to smooth his transition and help him along, you know, I’m all in.”

“I’m just honored to be in his presence, really, because I know what it takes as a professional on and off the court to be the best version of yourself and that’s what he’s striving to be,” he added.
