Dillon Brooks can only do moral support for the Phoenix Suns for now as he is still recovering from a core muscle strain. He is supposed to be the main guys together with Devin Booker and Jalen Green.

He was there for them in their visit to the Golden State Warriors. He was on the bench on street clothes. Brooks’ presence and leadership is important to a young team like the Suns but it appeared that he was the one who showed immaturity as there was one moment that negatively affected his team’s run.

The Suns were trailing by 9 points with less than three minutes remaining. They were going for a last push but then Brooks was called for a technical foul for complaining about a call favoring Stephen Curry.

The Warriors superstar converted the free throw from it and then the other free throw from the foul call. Moses Moody added a pair of point in the next possession. Next thing the Suns knew, they were down by 14 points.

Dillon Brooks just picked up a tech in a 9-point game with under 3 minutes left in Q4, and he didn’t even suit up in this game. Appreciate the assistance lmfao pic.twitter.com/Xd9RVrqHCZ

The Dubs scored 4 more points but then Suns only managed 2. They lost by 11 points.

Devin Booker says Dillon Brooks apologized

Many thought Brooks’ TF was the turning point of the game. It wasted Booker’s 38 points which is the most he’s scored so far this season.

The Suns star, according to reporter Duane Rankin, said the pesky defender took ownership of that mistake and thought he was selfish for that act.

Devin Booker said Dillon Brooks addressed the team after the game about his technical foul from the bench in the fourth quarter.

Booker said Brooks said it was “selfish” and added the team has moved forward from it.

Brooks hasn’t played since October 25 and right now, he remains day to day. There’s still no definite timetable for his return.
