Recently, the NBA community became part of a hilarious exchange between NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal and rapper Blueface’s mother, Karlissa Saffold, and folks’ curiosity is not going anywhere soon.

The Big Diesel’s romantic history is public now, and Saffold could be one of those who had a connection with the 7’1” giant in the early 2000s. Things became interesting when Saffold went nuclear on social media after the Hall of Famer publicly denied knowing her. O’Neal immediately found himself under the boiling water following the hilarious beef.
Karlissa Saffold Calls Out Shaquille O’Neal for Denying He Knows Her
On Friday, Saffold didn’t hold back when she dropped her response on IG Stories\ claiming O’neal had a crush on her,
“Don’t make me put you in my book now Shaq,” she wrote, including a laughing emoji. The lemon tea got even bitter when Saffold referenced someone named “Donovan” in a follow-up video. She says that was Shaq’s nickname a long time ago.

“Do you know Donovan? 😂 it’s OK we get old and you ain’t hit so that’s all that matters 😂😂 you was gentlemen when my baby @bluefasebabyy woke up you was mad as hell tho,” she posted.

Just to recap, during a 2023 interview on The Jason Lee Show, Saffold detailed an alleged incident at her house. “He came to my house and the damn- Jonathan was woke up, and he was calling and calling and calling. In front of my house. And Jonathan was- I’m trying to put him to sleep,” she explained.
Saffold previously claimed multiple A-listers pursued her after her role in Friday After Next. Her list included Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, and 50 Cent alongside the Lakers legend.
But the four-time champion hasn’t responded to these latest shots. He is busy in his third Big Chicken project beyond the American border.

Big Chicken opened at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas in 2018, built around recipes inspired by Shaquille O’Neal’s mother, Lucille O’Neal. The new Hamilton location is another addition to Shaq’s growing fast-casual chain.
Folks on social media are responding well to the menu, which features crispy chicken sandwiches like The Original and Shaq’s Spicy Maple Crunch. The Sweet Fire Fries are also a popular loaded side.
