Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green has the ultimate confidence in himself and his team. He has every right to believe in himself and his squad since they’ve won four NBA championships since 2015. Although the team has started to slow down due to age, that hasn’t stopped them from trying to contend for another title under their name.
The last time the Warriors won a title was in 2022. Since then, there have been three different winners. But they’re still considered heavy favorites, especially when they traded for Jimmy Butler in the middle of last season. This time, the expectation for the California-based organization is the same: a championship.
Because of how dominant Golden State was during their reign, Green believes there’s a target on their backs. Even now that the team’s main core is older, the four-time NBA All-Star thinks that opposing teams play like they’re in the Finals whenever they’re matched up against the Warriors.

Draymond Green was referring to the Warriors’ 120-110 loss against the Milwaukee Bucks. His former teammate, Ryan Rollins, scored 32 points to lead the Bucks to victory.
“Any time a star [goes] out against us, you’re always going to have guys that step up and just play out of their minds,” Green said. “That is the Warrior effect, that is the effect you get when you have had the success that we have.”
“You figure a lot of these young guys that come into the NBA now, they grew up on the success that we’ve had,” Green continued. “So when they come into that game, it’s their NBA Finals. It’s their childhood dream come true. And so, you always get the absolute best version of guys …”
Green also said that it shouldn’t be an excuse for the Warriors to lose in games like that.
Draymond Green believes the team needs to fix its floor spacing

Draymond Green knows that the Warriors have a few things they need to address this season. On Saturday, they faced the Indiana Pacers, a team that had no wins before playing against Golden State. However, they got the best of the Western Conference team and walked away with a 114-109 victory.
Head coach Steve Kerr stated after the game that the club has to adjust their floor space. Green shared his coach’s sentiment and wants the team to fix its floor spacing.
“I think offensively we got to figure it out. We got to figure our spacing out, we got to figure the turnovers out,” Green explained. “The turnovers are adding up more and more each game, and they’re costly. We got a really good defense; it’s hard to get your defense set when you’re just turning the ball over.”
