LSU Tigers senior star Flau’jae Johnson recently jumped from the basketball court to the race tracks as she had a stint at a NASCAR event.
Flau’jae Johnson just shared her experience as a celebrity guest at the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway. She shared her excitement and gratitude from this experience on Instagram.
“Daytona turned me into a NASCAR fan real quick 🏁🚀 Big energy at the Coke Zero Sugar 400. … drivers going crazy, speed unreal. Huge respect to all the drivers out there, and big thanks to @cocacolaracing for making it happen!,” she wrote as a caption of her post.

In the video itself, the LSU senior expressed her pride in being able to raise the flag for the event.
“Hey, look y’all. Waving the flag. Honorary starters,” she said in the video. “Can’t drop the flag. I’m not going to drop the flag.”
Flau’jae Johnson had an incredible 2024-25 season with the LSU Tigers, proving to the world she is one of the best two-way players in the country. She started every game (34) and averaged 18.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.5 assists, while shooting 46.8% overall and 38.3% from three.
While she had the offensive part of her game from the previous year, she now also added the defensive part of her game with 1.7 steals and almost a block per game. With her as a star player, the LSU was able to make a deep playoff run, despite ultimately failing to clinch the championship.
In the days following the season-ending loss, Johnson announced she would forgo the 2025 WNBA Draft and return for her senior year.

Over the weekend, the senior guard reposted two of her earlier videos on Instagram, encouraging supporters to keep streaming them while hinting that fresh music is on the way.
The June releases carried deep personal weight, serving as heartfelt tributes to her mother, Kia Brooks, and her late father, Georgia rapper Jason “Camoflauge” Johnson, who was killed six months before her birth.
“My Last Two Drops 🔥 Go Tap In Keep Streaming And Sharing . I Appreciate Y’all So Much. I’m About To Drop Again.. That’s Fasho,” she wrote on her caption.
