After nearly four years of back-and-forth drama, Gilbert Arenas has officially closed the book on his long-running feud with former teammate Kwame Brown.
On Sunday, Arenas shared a new episode of “The Gilbert Arenas Show” on YouTube, where he finally addressed Brown’s years of criticism and lingering tension between the two. This time, though, Arenas made it clear he’s done engaging.

“Ladies and gentleman that is the end of the Kwame Brown saga. I don’t need to know what Kwame Brown is doing, what is he saying, it is irrelevant to me,” Arenas said.

The former Golden State Warriors and Washington Wizards guard explained that Brown built his media presence around a “fake beef” that eventually turned into something real. Arenas added that his former teammate is “still stuck in 2021” and that he no longer cares about any of Brown’s comments.
Arenas did take a moment to apologize for remarks he once made about Brown’s mother but also accused him of being someone who constantly drags others into conflicts. By the end of his rant, he didn’t mince words — calling Brown “an evil man who would do anything and lie to anybody.”
How did the Gilbert Arenas – Kwame Brown start?
Arenas and Brown shared two seasons together in Washington, but even during their playing days, they never clicked. Arenas came in as a rising star, while Brown — the top pick in the 2001 NBA Draft — was still trying to find his footing.

Their tension resurfaced years later when Arenas appeared on the “All The Smoke” podcast with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson. During the episode, he described Brown as a “manchild” and a “show pony,” comments that didn’t sit well with his former teammate.
Brown fired back almost immediately, posting a YouTube video taking shots at Arenas, Barnes, and Jackson — and from there, the feud snowballed into a full-blown online war. Both ex-players traded insults for years, with things getting increasingly personal.
Now, though, Arenas seems ready to move on, saying he’s finally “closing that chapter” for good. Whether Brown will do the same remains to be seen.
