Charlotte Hornets coach Charles Lee is happy that LaMelo Ball is back as he finally got a chance to play his preferred starting 5. However, there’s a chance they might lose Brandon Miller after the latter got injured in their loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.

Ball, who has been playing remarkably this season, missed seven games before returning against the Sixers.
This is the first time that the Hornets fielded Josh Green, Miles Bridges, Mark Williams, Miller, and Ball as one of these five is always out due to various injuries.
It was great to see all those guys out there. I thought that between Mark (Williams) and Nick (Richards), they did a great job of having a paint presence early in that first half – blocking some shots and being active.
We have to be able to sustain that and have that consistency in that regard. I think that the offensive flow, you got to see those guys back picking and slipping and setting screens for each other and throwing lobs.

The Hornets looked like they were having fun in the game. They were once down by double digits, 93-72, but managed to make a run to close the gap to 97-91 in the fourth quarter with 8 minutes and 20 seconds remaining in the game.
They came up short as they did not have answer against Tyrese Maxey who scored 40 points and Paul George who had himself a field day with 33 points.
Brandon Miller injury gets update from Charles Lee
Miller played the most minutes for his team at 31 and scored 12 points with four rebounds and four assists.
However, he was not able to finish the game.

Lee pointed out exactly when he got injured but said that he still has no information about the extent of of the sophomore’s injury.
I think that he might have stepped on a foot in front of our bench – I’m not sure whose. Then going down the other way, he drives on I believe it was (Paul) George and lays it in, and then just as he came down, he tweaked it. We’ll evaluate him, and I know our performance staff will be on top of it.
