Iman Shumpert and Teyana Taylor recently settled their divorce, and the tea spilling out could not be any hotter. According to reports, the former Brooklyn Nets point guard paid Taylor a seven-figure settlement along with child support and tuition fees for their children. In addition to this, Taylor also received four houses and several cars.
Social media users were quick to call Taylor a ‘gold-digger’ in the comments sections, and the singer/actress seemingly had enough of it all. On Tuesday night, Taylor went live on Instagram and called out her trolls and haters, admitting that the cars were hers already and Shumpert had to cough up only one million USD and nothing more.
“How are we sitting here making it seem like I’m being a gold digger or taking from him, we’re not going to do that. Every single car that I walked away with I literally paid for out of my pocket. Out of my pocket. Now, at this point, I made myself clear y’all are gonna think what y’all are gonna think regardless, y’all are still gonna run with y’alls narratives because that’s what people do.” Teyana Taylor said on her Instagram live chat on Tuesday night regarding her divorce settlement with Iman Shumpert.
Iman Shumpert and Teyana Taylor have actually been an item for quite a while after meeting at a party in 2011. A few years later, the two went Instagram official and got engaged after Taylor’s pregnancy. In 2016, the couple got married in secret and announced their marriage after their first anniversary in 2017. Shumpert filed for divorce in 2023 after a period of separation. He alleged that Taylor was cruel to him and self-obsessed.
