The Boston Celtics were a solid team under their Ime Udoka but their relationship had to be cut off after their then head coach got involved in a disturbing scandal in 2022. Udoka allegedly had an affair with Celtics staff, leading to his separation with actress wife Nia Long.

The organization did the right thing by suspending him for the entire 2022-2023 season and eventually got replaced by Joe Mazzulla. He did not just lose his job but also his family as Long received full custody of their children.
Things are getting better for him now after three years as not only he is back in the NBA coaching the Houston Rockets. His relationship with the former wife and his kids are also improving.
Long, known for her role in Boyz n the Hood and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, said she and Udoka have found a way to work together after their separation, all for the sake of their kids.

“This summer, I traveled with my youngest son [Kez] and my ex, Ime. We had a great time,”she shared in an interview with The Cut magazine.
“It was really beautiful because we’ve had a very public journey that has found its way to peace and understanding. And there’s a lot of mutual respect that we have for each other.”
Nia Long wishes Ime Udoka the best
Long said she is dedicating her life to taking care of her children and her accepting Udoka back in their lives is to shield their kids from any controversy.
She also wished Udoka the best in his new chapter in life.

“I don’t talk much about my personal life ’cause it’s no one’s business, but every now and then people speculate things on social media and it’s like me and Coach are good. I hope he wins,” she continued.
“He deserves to win. He’s really great at what he does. We can have experiences with our son and make him the priority.”
