Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies’ relationship continues after it turned sour last week but what is yet to return are good results. The team suffered their third loss in four games after falling to the Oklahoma City Thunder, 100-114.

Morant’s shooting struggle showed in that game as he scored just 11 points on 16.7 percent shooting. As a team, they shot 38.5 percent.

People are concerned about Morant’s shooting to the point they amplify the trade rumors he is reportedly at the center of. Some think he already regressed and his prime years are now things of the past.

Ja Morant and Zion Williamson should have been the future of the league, amazing how immaturity, lack of discipline, bad decisions have derailed both so quickly pic.twitter.com/B861C5SVUz

Even their own fans are giving up.

    Ja Morant is not worried

Morant’s shooting is terrible these days. Is there something to be worried about? Morant has none as he believes he’s still getting the shots he wants.

“That’s why I don’t get too frustrated because I be in this arena,” Morant told reporters after the game.

“I be in the practice gym doing the same thing. Right now, it’s just continuing to shoot, continuing to shoot with confidence and wait for it to translate over.”

What he’s more concerned about is the lack of call he is getting from officials despite his type of game.

I asked Ja about his numbers at the rim being down, too.

“I’m getting no foul calls. Y’all had a whole spiel about running in their careless and getting hurt. So what’s now? That’s what y’all want me to go back doing? Let’s end that convo right there.”

To be fair with Morant and the Grizzlies, they were very much in the game against OKC. They only dropped off in the third and fourth quarter with the Thunder doing their signature style of stepping up on the gear when it matters.

Morant and company will have chance to redeem themselves but the homecourt advantage Ja talked about will not be there as their next four games will be on the road.
