The New Orleans Pelicans are not expected to be a contender this season. However, they are expected to be better than the last season due the changes they embraced including the acquisition of Jordan Poole as a viable player at the shooting guard position.

Most important of all, Zion Williamson is available as he has played in three out of four games so far and vowed to be there as long as he can.
Nothing similar to ‘improvement’ is happening at the moment as they remain win-less in four games. Now, they are looking for someone to blame and that is head coach Willie Green.
An NBA insider revealed that the Pelicans could be the first team this season to fire their coach as Green already lost the locker room with their terrible start.
“Amid the Pelicans’ 0-4 start to the season, several players have appeared disinterested and frustrated with how Green’s lineups are being handled, sources said,” Brett Siegle of Clutch Sports wrote.

“These displeasures have been visible on the team’s bench, as well as heard behind the scenes in the tunnel and locker room.”
Who will replace him? Siegel said it might be associate head coach James Borrego who Williamson engage more with during games.
Remember that Jordan Poole stare down?
To be fair with Green, his squad was hit by injury bugs. The most notable were that of Dejounte Murray and Kevon Looney. The organization tried to bring in a reinforcement by signing veteran DeAndre Jordan.
Problem is his game time decision was problematic according to some fans. Jordan’s minutes cost Poole his.

This is allegedly the reason why Poole stared down his coach after he made a three pointer in loss to the Denver Nuggets.

Poole, who expressed love for Pelicans fans at the start of the season, is consistent with his scoring except in that Nuggets game when he scored just nine points and played just 22 minutes. He currently averages 32.3 minutes per game and 17.3 points.
Should the Pelicans fire Green?
