The Los Angeles Lakers are cruising and it does not matter if Lebron James has missed games, including the latest one against the New Orleans Pelicans. They dominated their visitors but JJ Redick is still not satisfied.

James had to sit out the Sunday game for load management.
“It is an injury he has had in the past,” Redick said before game.
“It’s something we had to manage in the past. Given the back-to-back and the fact that he is basically just coming off his training camp. This has been his training camp over the last 10 days or so. So, just being cautious.”

His absence did not matter though as Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves carried the scoring load with a combined 67 point output. They also had 15 points together.
DeAndre Ayton had an impressive 22-12 double as well as four blocks.
JJ Redick wants to avoid boredom
The Lakers are now on a seven-game winning streak and 8-2 in their last 10. However, Redick does not want to get to a point where they will get bored.
He thought he saw that against the Pelicans after they were outscored in the last two quarters. Lakers built a 19-point lead in the first quarter.
“I didn’t think our defense was good for the last three quarters,” Redick told reporters when asked about their strong start.

“It’s nice to sit here and be 15-4 and be like, ‘Oh, the results are great.’ And we should be proud of being 15-4 after 19 games. It’s a great start. There’s a lot of slices of pizza left in the box that we can still get after. There’s a lot of room for improvement for our team. Which to me is a positive.”
He also said that they can still improve.
Next up for them are the Phoenix Suns.
